The Legend

The Arrow-Struck Snake logo represents conquest or treatment of disease. The snake represents sickness or disease; the arrow represents prevention and cure of sickness. The Arrow-Struck Snake trademark represents quality that has existed for more than 100 years. Snake Brand is the world’s 1st cooling powder.

In 1947, a lawyer named Brisbane came to see Oakley, a doctor in the British Dispensary Store (Snake Brand). He had a skin rash because of the hot weather, so the doctor gave him chamomile lotion, but it didn’t work. The doctor then mixed body powder with a cooling substance for Mr. Brisbane and the rash disappeared and he felt relief.

The properties of Snake Brand Cooling Powder became renowned and very popular, so the product was then sold as a mass product. Initially, it was sold under the brand St. Luke’s, but later changed in 2004 to the name Snake Brand.

SNAKE BRAND
COOL
IDENTITY
1952
Snake Brand has its uniqueness – the “tin can”.

In 1952, as Snake Brand began to gain popularity, Dr.
Luan developed a way to keep the coolness longer and make the powder more convenient to use.
This was the origin of Snake Brand’s unique tin can, which is very familiar to Thai people until today.

Initially, the tin cans were imported from Hong Kong.
Later on when the tin can production technology was introduced in Thailand,
Snake Brand switched to using Thai-manufactured tin cans.
